Scope of Work
A Scope of Work is a detailed report highlighting item by item what rectification or work needs to be done. The report may also serve as a ‘cost analysis’ by the insurer to estimate the cost of work required before the job goes out to tender.
Scope of Work. Building consultants are used throughout the insurance industry for a number of professional reasons. They are usually engaged by the loss adjuster or case manager to carry out an inspection and provide a professional report on behalf of the insurer to assist with identifying the cause and resultant damage to property when a claim is made.
The Building Consultant will detail a schedule (known as scope of works), with photographic evidence of the property and any rectification work required, his report is generally used by the contractor who will tender and quote for the rectification work.
