Stage by Stage Inspection
DTS Building Consultants can arrange with your builder (or yourself) to carry out stage by stage inspections of the property – this will give you a ‘heads up’ should there be any problems arising during the different stages of construction.
Building Inspectors will check the work that has been carried out by your Builder to ensure that it is not defective and ensure that it complies with current standards or the legislative requirements and the building contract.
We can inspect at any stage that you request, but if you’re unsure we would recommend stage by stage inspection be carried out when the property reaches the following stages:
- Slab / Floor
- Frame
- Lockup
- Handover
Each report covers:
- Safety hazards
- Suspected Non-Compliance
- Substandard Workmanship
- Incomplete Works
- If requested and if a copy of the contract is provided it can also include suspected Non-Compliant Contract and Specifications.
Please note that the additional time and requirements to go through a building contract may incur an additional charge so will only be done upon specific request.
